Vertuzzi Cakes is committed to providing safe, reliable, and high-quality local cake delivery.
This Delivery Policy explains how our delivery schedule, service areas, fees, and delivery procedures work.

1. Delivery Area

To ensure reliable service, all orders placed through our website undergo an automatic delivery area verification at checkout.
Our system will only accept orders from addresses currently within our service range and will automatically block orders from locations we are unable to deliver to.

At this time, Vertuzzi Cakes offers delivery exclusively within the South Surrey and White Rock areas.

As a newly established bakery, we are gradually expanding our delivery network.
Additional regions will be added in the future as our operations grow.
Customers outside our current service area are encouraged to check back as coverage expands.


2. Why We Limit Our Delivery Area (Quality Control & Freshness)

We limit our delivery area intentionally to maintain the highest quality and consistency for every cake we deliver. This includes:

  • Freshness Protection: Our cakes are delicate and temperature-sensitive. Shorter travel distances ensure they arrive fresh and in perfect condition.
  • Transportation Safety: Limited travel reduces the risk of damage caused by long-distance delivery, bumps, or extended travel time.
  • Precision in Time Windows: By focusing on nearby regions, we can deliver within a predictable time window and avoid delays caused by city-wide traffic.
  • Sustainability & Efficiency: Serving a localized area helps reduce fuel usage and environmental impact while improving operational efficiency.

As our team grows and we implement additional logistics support, we will gradually expand our delivery radius.


3. Delivery Schedule

  • Delivery Days: Tuesday – Sunday
  • Delivery Time Window: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
  • No deliveries on Mondays

While we will do our best to accommodate preferences, specific delivery time requests cannot be guaranteed.


4. Delivery Fee

Delivery fees vary depending on distance and postal code.
The exact fee will be shown at checkout after address verification.


5. Delivery Process

Our delivery driver will:

  • Arrive during the delivery window
  • Call or text when approaching
  • Wait up to 5 minutes at the delivery location

If the customer is unavailable or unreachable:

  • The order will be marked as “Unable to Deliver – No Recipient Available”
  • No refund will be issued
  • A redelivery may be arranged (additional delivery fee applies)

6. Incorrect or Incomplete Delivery Information

The customer is responsible for providing:

  • Correct delivery address
  • Accurate unit/buzzer number
  • Valid phone number

If incorrect information results in a failed delivery:

  • No refund will be provided
  • Redelivery may be arranged at an additional fee

7. Weather & Unexpected Delays

Severe weather, traffic incidents, or unforeseen events may delay delivery.
While delays are rare, we appreciate your patience during such circumstances.


8. Storage & Handling After Delivery

Once delivered, cakes should be:

  • Refrigerated immediately
  • Stored properly
  • Consumed within 1–2 days for best freshness

Vertuzzi Cakes is not responsible for:

  • Damage caused by improper handling after delivery
  • Melted or tilted cakes caused by not refrigerating promptly
