Our Story

The story of Vertuzzi began about eight years ago at a Christmas potluck gathering. I brought a homemade light mango cheesecake to share with friends and to my surprise, everyone loved it. Since then, I have often made this cake for gatherings and as gifts, and it has always become a highlight of the event. Seeing people’s smiles and hearing their kind words has always been one of my greatest joys.

Over the years, many friends encouraged me to start selling it, but life and work kept me busy. Until recently, something special happened. My younger son brought one of my cakes to his friend’s home. The next morning, his friend’s parents, eager yet a little hesitant, asked if they could order a cake for a birthday. On the same day, my older son shared that his friend’s mother still remembered “that amazing mango cake” I made three years ago — and hadn’t found anything like it since. That’s when I realized: it was time to share this little happiness with more people.

And so, Vertuzzi Cakes was born.
